New year, new songs, same routine. Your friendly webmasters are posting practice material for you again. Just a reminder - or perhaps some information if you are new to the Chorale - we have special post-it notes on the Home Page for practice material. The title of the piece will be in blue and underlined and it will be linked to the Practice Material page. All you need to do is click on the post-it and the Practice Material page will open for you,
To our very dear Chorale Members,
Your web-masters are so excited that you are embracing the new web site. Our wish from the beginning was that it would be a useful tool: both to members and for the board. Thanks to you all, we are seeing that vision come true!
And now we are going to try something new. In response to your requests for practice material, we are initiating a specialized post-it, designed exclusively for that purpose. When you see the post-it illustrated here, you will know that it is a link to a particular piece on which we are working. You will be able to click on the blue writing and a new window will open with a video or MP3 of that piece with which you can practice. Ultimately, we hope to create a column on the Home Page that contains only practice material. Watch for it next Spring.
Oh . . . and one last thing . . . . You Guys Rock!!!
This might help you get a sense of how this piece can sound. So much fun if we can access some inner swing! Thanks, Renelle, for the suggestion :-D
Below is a rendition of "His Yoke Is Easy" from the Messiah. Feel free to listen to the video to better understand the quick rhythms within the piece!
